“I Am That”

One person manages the performance management system for a Fortune 500 company. Another fosters a culture of passion, adventure, and creativity that leads to the creation of awe inspiring products.

One person does an incredible job editing copy for aspiring authors. Another makes people’s dreams come alive by getting their work published in leading scholarly journals and with top of the line publishing houses.

One person specializes in the treatment of grief for men and women through outcome-oriented individual and group psychotherapy. The other sees you knows where you are and promises, There is a place where the branches part and you can feel the sunlight against your skin once more (from No Time For Tears: Surviving Grief in America by Judy Heath)

The success of your marketing efforts, whether it’s your job search, your efforts to move up the organization ladder, or your desire to take your business to another level, is directly proportional to your understanding of the value you provide. People often confuse their core activities with value. When this happens, you limit your options and dull the senses of those who are listening.

Never let others equate the key activities you perform with the ultimate value you provide. Shine brighter and truer.

I love this David! We are so much more than the services we provide and the work that we do…it’s what is underneath that matters…when we let our own light shine. Thank you for not only what you do, but for who you are.

Thanks Bonnie! I’ve been working a lot with people lately who have been stuck thinking about their businesses within a narrow field. It helps to break out!

As always, David, Your articles touch me in a special manner.

This one encouraged me significantly on a professional level because, due to health issues, I can serve only part time.
But more profoundly, I was struck by the quote! I do a lot of grief work and I will get the book! …..but, for me, I am often still looking for the sunshine havinf buried my son three years ago. I needed to read that!
    Thank You! Stay with God!
