David P. Diana, M.A., LPC, NCC

David Diana is the co-founder of Diana Marketing & Design (, an organization that provides a wide variety of marketing and design services for individuals and organizations around the world.

He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and marketing professional with over 16 years of experience in marketing and business development. He is the author of the best selling book, “Marketing for the Mental Health Professional: An Innovative Guide for Practitioners” published by John Wiley & Sons, and is the founder of a popular weekly blog focusing on professional development ideas and marketing innovations. In 2009 he was the recipient of the 40-Under-40 Award by the Charleston Business Journal, which each year recognizes the most influential business professionals under forty years old in the Charleston, SC metro area. He serves on several community boards in Charleston, and is the director of the annual Lowcountry Mental Health Conference, one of the largest fundraising mental health conferences in the Southeast.

As an “old timer” with many years in the behavioral health system I sometimes find myself believing there are no new ideas, only re-packaged old ones. David’s presentation was an exception.
